What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present,
hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with
blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace. --

Agnes M. Pharo

At this time of year emotions run high. The feelings of Christmas are
overwhelming  for many reasons.

If money is not an issue , then the frustrations of buying that perfect gift to
make someone happy, can cause even the most calm person to scurry around in
circles.

The newest trends are jumping out at us. The perfect gift for that special
someone. The perfumes that will enhance your romantic life. The newest
gadget for dad, the coolest technology gadget  to make any teen the most
popular.

I stood and watched everyone shopping, carrying bags full of gifts, scurrying
around at full speed to get everything done for Christmas.

Yet there are those that do not shop. They scurry around trying to find a way
to get through Christmas and have food on the table for their families, to have
warm coats, boots, pay the bills and maybe have enough money to buy gifts.

The contrast is visible if you stop and look.

It is my fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and
eternal, and that every path may lead to peace. That is the true meaning of
Christmas.

Merry Christmas
